The CHARISMA project is funded by the Climate Finance Fund of the Government of Flanders (Belgium).
It is a result of the Paris Agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed in 2016 by Belgium and 195 other state parties.
Article 9 of the Paris Agreement stipulates that developed countries shall provide financial resources to assist developing countries with respect to both mitigation and adaptation in continuation of their existing obligations under the Convention.
Project Partner AVIA-GIS also contributed to the project as a co-funder.
