In the months April, May and June, the CHARISMA partners had the opportunity to present the project to local experts and receive valuable information and feedback. Chander Bhan, senior officer of the India Meteorological Department provided useful input on the climate modelling aspects in CHARISMA in May. In June, together with his colleagues Dr Shyam Pingle and Dr Mahaveer Golechha , Prof. Dileep V. Mavalankar, Director of the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinaga, highlighted important factors to consider, based on their experience with the development and implementation of the Ahmedabad Heat Action Plan.
In June we also met virtually with Dr S.N. Sharma, former Joint Director of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, who shared his expertise on vector borne disease control.
